Books for all Ages
Join us in this series where we’ll have a different focus each week, chronologically working through life’s reading journey. We’ll begin with children’s books, such as all-time favourites, successful series, classics and modern renditions, then move into coming-of-age books and existential narratives, before finally exploring stories questioning the meaning of life and death.
When: Fridays, July 11, 18 and 25 July and August 1, 11am AEST
History: How significant events made the world pivot!
History buffs join us as we rediscover unknown facts and insights about historical events that shaped world history. We’ll uncover how Constantinople became Istanbul, how England transformed into a great power without bloodshed (kinda!), how a nameless and faceless peasant changed the world and how a secret agreement more than 100 years ago still inflames the world today.
When: Fridays, July 11, 18 and 25 July and August 1, 11am AEST
